Au-pair responsibility
What are Au Pair's responsiblities?
The obligations of an Au Pair are as follows:
Having fun with the kids
Bringing up children from school, and participating in other activities
Preparing simple recipes
Keeping the kids' rooms organized and spotless
Doing their washing and ironing the kids' clothes
Assisting kids with their homework
Putting the children to bed
Assisting the host children with personal care (brushing teeth, changing diapers, etc.)
Minimal shopping
Dishwasher loading and unloading
The Au Pair's main responsibility is to look after the kids. Depending on the host nation, au pairs put in anywhere between 20 and 45 hours each week. Host Families must observe these working hours and provide their Au Pairs with the opportunity to really appreciate the experience of living abroad, take a language class and have free time.
