Basic guidelines for host families

1. Typically, in order to recruit an au pair, you must have at least one child who is under the age of 18. 

2. An au pair-friendly room in your house  

3. You must provide her or him at least three meals each day. In addition, you must contribute the weekly or monthly amount of pocket money required by your country's program.

4. You give the au pair housing, full board, and a set amount of pocket money each month or week.
